Our batik paintings are exceptionally beautiful with strong colors and can be wall hung, framed or unframed; used as covers; or incorporated into sewing projects, for example, as the centerpiece of a bedspread. Batik paintings are made by brushing molten wax onto cloth, usually cotton. The cloth is then dipped into a dye which adheres to all areas not covered by the wax. The wax is then removed and the process repated over and over again for each color used.
